Mom's 88th birthday

our granddaughter, Natalie, was visiting with us

Mom's birthday bracelets-one from dad and one from Anna

Birthdays don't mean much to the Alzheimer person-there is no realization that it is a special day-but we did have a fun time. Mom loved opening her gifts and she was very happy knowing that something special was happening because of her.

Sarah is here

first we went to the Synder's Shoe Store to get mom some new shoes
A few to choose from!

Dad is patiently waiting
Then over to House of Flavors for some ice cream

Look alikes!!!!!
She ate it all
We had such a fun day.
Mom remembered Sarah and she really had quite a few good sentences.
Taking mom and dad out is something I love to do-it is always an adventure!

PERRY COMO

Perry Como was a favorite singer of my parents

THE PURPLE COW

Mom still knows the purple cow poem that she learned as a child-I'm sure she also sang this song.
