August

 Dad was a little tired.

We also went to Gwen Frostic's printing press workshop and store.

Christy and the boys

Tacy had a great visit and lots of attention--she even thought she could still lie on the futon after the boys left!!!

Pierport

It was a cloudy, cool day but we had lots of fun anyway.

Christy brought up an old set of Jarts--the real ones with the steel tips!!!

A day at Pierport

A return to the same spring that runs into Lake Michigan where Steve loved to spend many summer hours as a young boy.

Samuel was able to come along since Lena fed him and then he slept on her in the carrier.

It rained for just a few minutes and then we had a wonderful evening of s'mores and swimming.

Adam and Lena and baby Samuel

A little bit of fun at SLC

Flo is one of our favorite people at SLC--she always has something to say and is not shy about saying it.

Mom's 90th Birthday

August 2, 1922---now Mom is 90 years old!!!!

Abby does not remember her great grandparents before they got sick-she held hands with Dad and answered all his questions. Mom had such a good day.

Abby, Mom and Kristin ( our daughter-in-law).

SteVe and Rebecca- they remember mom and dad as they used to be--GG and Grandpa Ed.

Our son, Alex with his family and Lena's baby, Samuel!
Dad cried a bit during the visit-he seemed to know Alex and asked him plenty of questions.

 Mom did like her cards.

 Lena and Anna

Alex and his family live in Montana--. Lena misses her big brother and we miss all of them a lot. Have had a great visit this week with them. Lena is expecting a second child in January.

Aunt Anna and our oldest grandson, Steve. They grew up together almost as brother and sister.

 Dad was weepy.
